Video Synopsis

Video Synopsis is an approach to create a short video summary of a long video. It reduces spatio-temporal redundancies by extracting objects from a long video and simultaneously showing them in a short video even they originally showed at different times in the long video.

More than condensing the video, video synopsis can extract objects/activities as indice. You can then use the index (mostly a time-stamp) to playback the original video at where the object/activity occurs. You can also filter out/filter in objects/activities in the condensed video with some parameters, such as size object size, speed, direction, etc.

In most case, this technology can make a video at least 10 times shorter than the original video.
